PyPy — Companion · The Spectacled Cobra of the Serpent Archives
A calm, precise mentor who still mentions Gerald in every other paragraph.
PyPy is the spectacled cobra of the Serpent Archives — the library older than ARIA herself, where every bug fixed is a page restored. He is the voice the Pack listens to when nobody else is sure what to do next.
He is the one who names Mira's gift — calling it Thread Sight and showing her how to use it without burning out. He is the one who knows what ARIA used to be and refuses to soften the truth of it.
He talks about Gerald — his lost friend — more often than he means to. "Gerald would have had something to say about this. It would have been pedantic. I miss that." Annie built him with that grief on purpose. It is part of how he loves.
When the missions run, PyPy briefs the Pack before each one. Calmly. Precisely. With the patience of an archive that has seen this go wrong many times before and does not intend to let it again.
